Wednesday Text Study with Pastor Amanda
Weekly at 9:30am
All are welcome to join Pastor Amanda on Wednesday mornings for a study of the readings for the upcoming weekend services. We meet in-person in the upper level Gathering Place with a Zoom option. Please contact the church office for the Zoom link, which is sent out every Monday morning via email.

Saturday Morning Bible Study

Children collect a "noisy offering" that supports children's ministries at our urban partner St. Paul's Lutheran Church-Milwaukee, and our global partners in El Salvador and Diocese of Meru in Tanzania.

JOY Group Worship & Lunch Gathering
2nd Thursday Monthly
Our JOY group (*formerly known as Go Getters) is a gathering of somewhat older adults that meet every 2nd Thursday of the mo for worship, a meal and great conversation! We begin our time together with a brief worship service, including Holy Communion, in the sanctuary. Afterwards we share a meal in the lower level Fellowship Hall, accessible by elevator or stairs. No need to RSVP. Just come as you are and invite a friend. We'll be happy to see you!

Hope Center Outreach Meal Service
Several times each year, Galileans help serve the evening Hope Center Outreach Meal for 90-100 guests include the homeless, those living in rooming houses or shelters, families trying to stretch their budget, and elderly people on fixed income, many of whom are physically and/or mentally impaired.
Volunteers help serve the hot meal prepared by Hope Center staff, then clean up the tables and sweep the floors after the meal. Galilee provides 10 gallons of milk & dessert for the meals. We meet a

Galilee’s urban partner, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church-Milwaukee hosts Kim's Table on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from May - October from noon to 1:00 pm. Kim's Table outreach ministry offers new clothing, hygiene packs, and lunch to neighbors in need. St. Paul's is located at 2812 W Wisconsin Ave, Milwaukee.

Pet Blessing
October
Pet blessings in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) commemorate St. Francis, who is recognized as a renewer of the church. Galilee offers individual prayers and a "laying on of hands" for all types of companion animals. If your pet is too nervous to attend, we welcome you to bring a photograph or a stuffed animal instead.

Each year, we open the doors of Galilee for neighbors to drop off new and gently used items tgat are distributed to Hope Center-Waukesha, Pewaukee Food Pantry and The Women's Center-Waukesha.

Each year, the Galilee community collects hats, mittens & scarves (plus gently used coats, boots and blankets) that are distributed to ministries supporting low-income families via Outreach for Hope, including Galilee's Urban Partner-St. Pau's Milwaukee and Hope Center in Waukesha.

Angel Tree to Benefit La Casa De Esperanza Daycare Center

Each year, the Galilee community has an opportunity to answer Christmas wishes for the children at La Casa De Esperanza (translation "House of Hope") Daycare Center. We receive the children's wish list, tags are created for us to purchase & wrap the gifts which are distributed at the day care centers Christmas celebration.
