Do you know CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) or how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)? Learning these skills could help save a life - The life you save may be someone you know!
Learning CPR is crucial because it equips you with the skills to potentially save a life during a cardiac arrest or other life-threatening emergencies. CPR can significantly increase the chances of survival from sudden cardiac arrest. If CPR is performed immediately, it can double or triple the chances of survival.
After the heart stops pumping, brain death can start to occur within 4 minutes. The chances of survival is greatly increased by giving CPR within the first 2 minutes. 80% of cardiac arrests occur at home.
