Galilee has an opening for part-time office coordinator. The position provides coordination and organization for the operations of the church office, which supports and strengthens the overall ministry. The Office Coordinator is the hub for communication between leaders and members of the congregation, and with the community beyond our doors. They will maintain church records and statistics, provide reports and information, and manage the daily running of the office in partnership with the Pastor. They are a vital part
of the staff team in carrying out the mission of the congregation.
For more information contact Pastor Amanda via email: pastoramanda@galileelc.org

If you have started reading the Bible with us (or would like to join in) contact Pastor Amanda. She has put together a group of readers to help keep us all connected as we read through Scripture this year, and she’d love to have you in it! We will talk about the readings to this point, and discuss ways we might collaborate in our reading and understanding of the text as we move through the year.

Galilee has been chosen to be a part of the Vibrant Faith Initiative’s
“Raising Faithful Kids” program. Our goal for the second quarter of
this year-long program is to do some listening sessions with parents
to hear more about their experiences in trying to raise faithful kids in
today’s world. Each of the three sessions will be unique.
The first session will be held at The 5 O’Clock Club on Tuesday, May 12.
Invitations have been sent for this session. Childcare will be available
at Galilee during this meeting.
A second session for parents will be held on Wednesday, May 20
at 6:00pm in the Gathering Place. This session will include a pizza
dinner, and should last around 90 minutes. Childcare will be available
at Galilee during this meeting.
A third session will be open to parents and grandparents who are actively involved in raising grandchildren. This session will be a “Grandparents’ Tea” and will be held in the Fellowship Hall following worship on Sunday, May 31.
If you would be interested in attending one of these sessions, please RSVP to Pastor Amanda by email (pastoramanda@galileelc.org). Also, if you would be available to help with childcare during one of the first two sessions, please email Pastor Amanda at the same address.

Go Getters is a gathering of older adults that meet monthly for worship, a meal and great conversation! John Schroeder provides a wonderful main course and others bring salads & dessert. No need to RSVP - just come and enjoy. For more information contact Carole Brinkman.

Does your elementary-aged little one take Communion and is wondering more about why we do what we do? Are you waiting to have your child take Communion until you can help them learn more about the ritual?
Pastor Amanda invites all elementary age children, their parents, grand-parents and other faith mentors to Holy Communion Education class to help our elementary-aged kiddoes learn more about Communion. All are welcome, whether your child has previously received communion or not.
For more information contact Pastor Amanda at 262.691.2308 or email: pastoramanda@galilleelc.org.
Come join this group of women who enjoy stitching with needles in hand and good conversation. The group makes infusion sleeves for people with IVs, prayer shawls, hats & mittens plus any project you already working on.
All skills are welcome and we can even teach those wishing to learn. What other projects could we explore together? For more information contact Kathy Taylor.

We listen, share, comfort and support each other through the loss process, even though our losses may be different. The gathering is not limited to the loss of a loved one, but could be the loss of a job, the move to a new location, loss of a dream, a pet, a relationship, a material or physical loss, retirement, or a life change.
Your faith and insight may have a profound impact on our journey of healing. For more information contact Barb Barthel.

Carpool From Galilee @ 10:30 am, ruturns around 2:00 pm
Galilee’s urban partner, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church-Milwaukee, will host the first Kim’s Table of 2026 on Wednesday, May 20 from noon to 1:00 pm.
Kim's table is an outreach ministry of St. Paul's, offering new clothing, hygiene packs, and lunch to our neighbors in need. The table is a place we join together for fellowship and love with one another, catching up on life, and offering what we have to our friends.
Please consider joining the faithful outreach team at St. Paul’s in ministry and support of people in need in the low-income neighborhood of St. Paul’s. For more info contact Partnerships Coordinator Deb Kohler.

Galileans will be serving the evening Hope Center Outreach Meal for 90-100 guests include the homeless, those living in rooming houses or shelters, families trying to stretch their budget, and elderly people on fixed income, many of whom are physically and/or mentally impaired.

Galilee provides 10 gallons of milk & dessert for each of the meals. We meet at Hope Center at 5:00 pm and are finished around 7:00pm. A carpool option leaves Galilee's upper parking lot at 4:30pm.
This month, we will be distributing hygiene bags packed by Galilee confirmands & their mentors. We collected donations via our “Sock It To Poverty” campaign earlier this year plus a generous donation of a $250 Thrivent Grant.
