Galilee Lutheran Church is part of the more than 4 million members and 10,000 congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), serving Christ both locally and globally.
Organized in 1954, Galilee Lutheran Church is a Christian community committed to being a center for mission and spiritual formation. With “partnership congregations” in El Salvador, Tanzania, and Milwaukee, we see ourselves working together with Christian brothers and sisters throughout the world announcing God’s life-giving and transforming message of acceptance, love, and grace encountered in and through Jesus Christ.
Whether providing opportunities for worship, Christian education, being of service to others (especially to the poor, needy, and marginalized), or bringing a needed message of hope, our congregation seeks to live out its Biblical name by being a community where again Jesus’ mission and ministry is active among and through us.
Worship Around Word and Sacrament
As a community of faith, we gather around God’s Word and share the blessings given through the meal of Holy Communion, which is offered at each service.
Saturday evenings at 5 pm
Sunday mornings at 8:00 and 10:30* am
*We offer Godly Play for our young worshippers during the Sunday 10:30 am service. Godly Play is a twenty minute interactive Bible story time for children ages 3-10. Children begin worship in the Sanctuary; they are dismissed and led from the service after the “Children’s Word” and brought back in time for the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
