Our Pastor | Rev. Jennifer Arnold, Interim

My name is Jennifer Arnold and I am so excited to be joining you in ministry as your Interim Pastor starting November 7th.  Before we meet in person, your Leadership Board invited me to share a little about myself here.

I came to the Greater Milwaukee Synod following seminary almost 32 years ago as I was called to serve my first congregation, Trinity Lutheran in West Bend. I was there six years before accepting a call to Lord of Life in Kenosha, where I served for over fourteen years. In 2011, I became the Senior Pastor at St. John’s in Brookfield before joining Bishop Erickson’s staff in 2017. God has blessed me in each setting with a variety of ministry experiences and learnings which I bring with me to Galilee. I know that God and you will continue to teach me and shape me as we serve together.

Personally, I grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago and, if you’re wondering, yes, I was a Bears fan in those days. Bears, Cubs, and Bulls. Please know that after three decades in Wisconsin I am fully committed to the Packers, Brewers and Bucks. More importantly, I grew up in a home that taught me about Jesus and about being a part of Christian community. This has shaped me more than anything else.

My husband, Warren, and I have three young adult children aged 22, 20, and 17. We are also hosting a wonderful foreign exchange student from France this year who is 17 and a high school senior with our daughter at Oak Creek High School. We try to make the most of our time together around school, work, and activities. These are precious days with our kids before they move into the next chapter of their lives.

I look forward to becoming a part of the Galilee community as we journey through the pastoral transition process. God will surely be with us, guiding our conversation and discernment. Along the way, we will serve, love, and have fun.  Until then, God be with each of you.
